The Verdict:

If you loved The Da Vinci Code, don't mind pap and are looking for something to read whilst waiting for the sequel, then check it out. Personally however, I think that the lack of characterisation and lack of confidence by the author in his own plot will disappoint some. For people who like their mysteries tight and complex, you might do better to check out The Rule of Four by Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason, which is a better example of the genre.
