Jackie Marchant’s sequel to I’M DOUGAL TRUMP is a fun-filled adventure for readers aged 8+ featuring the return of some welcome (and less welcome) characters, some dubious recipes and freaky animals. Boys should particularly enjoy Dougal’s adventures and relate to his love of football but there’s plenty here to keep girls giggling as well. Mention should also be made of the illustrations by Mike Lowery, which are absolutely brilliant and really add to the humour of the book.
